KIE Money Changer, a Currency Exchange Center for Indonesians
posted 6 months agoA client has just expanded his business by opening a currency exchange service under the company namely KIE Forex Successindo, PT. He asked me to create a logo for his business with KIE brand. I then proposed four alternatives of logos with KIE Money Exchange brand name.
Seorang klien baru saja melebarkan bisnisnya dengan membuka layanan pertukaran mata uang di bawah perusahaan yang bernama PT KIE Valas Successindo. Dia meminta saya untuk menciptakan logo untuk bisnisnya tersebut dengan merek KIE. Saya pun mengajukan 4 alternatif logo dengan brand KIE Money Exchange.
I had hoped the selected logo would be the alternative D. It depicts globalization and prosperity. The classic style of logo would create a perception that the company has been established since the 80s.
My client believes in Feng Shui. After consulting with his Guru, a Feng Shui expert, he chose the alternative A.
Klien saya itu percaya pada Feng Shui. Setelah berkonsultasi dengan suhu-nya seorang ahli Feng Shui, ia memilih logo alternatif A.
Saya tadinya berharap logo yang dipilih adalah alternatif D. Logo tersebut menggambarkan globalisasi dan kemakmuran. Dengan gaya klasik, logo tersebut juga bisa menciptakan persepsi sebagai perusahaan yang sudah berdiri sejak tahun 80-an.
My client also asked me to change the logo look by removing arrow-shaped parts. According to Feng Shui, the shape of an arrow can absorb negative energy.
Klien saya juga meminta saya agar merubah logo tersebut dengan menghilangkan bagian-bagian tajam berbentuk panah. Karena menurut ilmu Feng Shui, bentuk panah dapat mengundang energi negatif.
He also requested me to change the term Money Exchange to Money Changer. For English speaking people, a money changer is a device that changes/dispenses coins. But according to my client, Indonesian people is more familiar with the term Money Changer more than Currency Exchange or Money Exchange.
Ia juga meminta agar istilah Money Exchange diganti dengan Money Changer. Padahal bagi orang yang berbahasa Inggris, money changer adalah sebuah alat dispenser uang atau koin, seperti di mobil. Tapi menurut dia, orang Indonesia lebih mengenal istilah Money Changer ketimbang Currency Exchange atau Money Exchange.

The initial phase of the campaign for AKSI Program is to persuade all members of SBA community to always maintain the cleanliness in 4 easy steps, namely: If you see (lihat) any waste, pick (pungut) it up, keep (bawa) it along and find a trash, and then trash (buang) it.
